Quality Spanning 3 Generations

From Humble Beginnings

In 1949 Philip Ritter Senior started working as a plumber doing inside plumbing work along with his brother, George.  Ritter Plumbing was best known for installing copper lines, soldering and sanding them with steel wool and then shellacking them.  This attention to detail was impeccable.  Philip Ritter Senior could see there was a need for outside plumbing work as well and no one in the area offered this service.  Ritter Plumbing became so well known for their top notch customer service that they were asked by the local utility companies to install water, electric and gas lines all over the Miami Valley.  Ritter was one of the very first companies with a directional boring machine and even through the years we have continued to be leaders in innovation by keeping up with modern equipment and technology.

Rick Horn retires

After 48 Years of dedicated service, Rick Horn has retired May 2024.    Rick will forever be a part of the Ritter legacy.  He has held just about every single job position possible from laborer, to supervisor; he even helped in the design and layout of our current office and shop buildings!  In the beginning when manpower was low, it was not uncommon to work all day on the jobsite and then work on the equipment and trucks in the evening, making necessary repairs.  Rick's retirement has created a void that will never be filled.  Rick is one of the key factors in the success of Ritter since its inception in 1950.  We wish Rick a Happy Retirement and no amount of thanks will ever be enough!
